Type - Type Trawl
Ayodhyua in 1981 to distinguish the types of location-based Trawl nets in the water to be three (3) types, namely:
1. Surface Trawl (The net is operated in the surface water).
Drawn close to the net surface water (Surface Water), which aims to attract the fish in the water. There are several problems in operation, the net interest rate must be faster than the speed of swimming fish, so Trawl this type should be used to catch fish that swim slowly.
2. Water Trawl Mid (toils which operated between the base and surface waters).
Drawn on the depth of the net with a certain speed horizontally. To keep the net mouth open, then the boat speed must be stable. In Europe and Canada this tool is used to catch fish while Herring in Japan is still in the stage of research and experiment.
3. Bottom Trawl (nets operated in the primary).
The net is widely used because it can encompass all types of fish, shrimp and shellfish. In fact, demersal fish are often caught in the net to lift it up. Because the net is operated in the primary link, then pertu be catching some of the terms that work well without damaging the net, including:
• Basic Lumpur consists of sea and sand or a mixture of both, not the form of coral;
• Basic seas of dead ships or objects that may damage the nets;
• Differences in sea floor is not too flashy;
• tidal current speed is not too large;
• The state of calm weather (no hurricanes and large waves);
• The source has a lot of fish.
